Chocology in Bloom Continues... A Week of Community, Music, Honey & New Discoveries

What an amazing week!

One of the greatest joys of Chocology in Bloom has been watching chocolate bring people together in unexpected ways. This week reminded me once again that chocolate is so much more than something we eat—it's a conversation starter, a teacher, and often the beginning of a new friendship.

That spirit of discovery was on full display Thursday evening as we joined our friends at Olde Towne Gardens for a performance by The Jazz Loft.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, live jazz, and a perfect summer evening, guests stopped by for a complimentary Chocolate & Aroma Discovery with Tara Penske of Amadeus Aromatherapy and me.

It only took two minutes, but for many guests it was their first experience discovering how aroma can completely transform the way we perceive chocolate. Seeing those "I never knew that!" moments never gets old. Some guests came over simply because they were curious. Two minutes later they were leaving with a completely different understanding of how aroma influences flavor.

One of my favorite surprises of the weekend came from some familiar faces. Several guests from my recent Wantagh Library presentation stopped by the shop—not for chocolate this time, but to teach me how to play Mahjong. It reminded me that some of the best relationships begin with a single presentation and continue long after the program has ended.

I love seeing the Chocology community continue to grow

Moments like these remind me that Chocology has never been just about chocolate. It's about creating opportunities for people to slow down, discover something new, and enjoy sharing those discoveries with others.

Saturday afternoon, Chocology in Bloom continued with another wonderful collaboration as we welcomed Barnabee Honey for an afternoon exploring the remarkable relationship between artisan honey and craft chocolate. Each honey highlighted different notes in the chocolate, and each chocolate revealed something unexpected in the honey. It's amazing how two artisan products can elevate one another in ways most people have never experienced.

Every week, Chocology in Bloom reminds me that discovery isn't just about chocolate. It's about slowing down, sharing an experience, meeting new people, and seeing something familiar in a completely new way.

This Sunday we'll continue that journey as we explore another unexpected pairing—artisan olive oil, aged balsamic vinegar, and fine chocolate.

I hope you'll come discover it with us.

Sunday from 1:00–3:00 PM

Wishing you a wonderful week.

Linda
