A Heartfelt Thank You… and Another Discovery Awaits
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined Tara, Meghan, and me this past Sunday as we explored the fascinating connection between aroma and flavor.
It was such a joy watching so many of you slow down, breathe deeply, notice new aromas, and discover how scent can completely transform the way we experience chocolate.
One of the day's favorite discoveries was pairing Tara's White Chocolate Lemon Noir Salt Scrub with Denise Castronovo's White Chocolate Lemon Bar. Together they transported nearly everyone to the sunny flavors and aromas of Italy—a wonderful reminder that taste is about so much more than what's on our tongues.
The shop was so wonderfully busy that I didn't manage to capture photos of everyone who stopped by—and for that, I apologize. But while I may not have captured everyone with my camera, I certainly captured the memories in my heart.
A special thank you to Tara and Meghan of Amadeus Aromatherapy for sharing your knowledge, your passion, and your beautiful handcrafted botanical creations. It was a pleasure collaborating with you, and I know our guests enjoyed every moment.
Thank you all for making Chocology in Bloom such a beautiful celebration of curiosity, conversation, and discovery.

🍫 This Sunday: From Point Reyes to Chocology
A Taste of Place
When I lived in San Francisco, one of my favorite bike rides was across the Golden Gate Bridge to Point Reyes. Those rides often included a stop at Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese, where I discovered just how extraordinary handcrafted cheese could be.
Only years later did I realize that the same qualities I admired there—craftsmanship, thoughtful production, and a true sense of place—are exactly what I value today in the craft chocolate makers I love sharing at Chocology.
This Sunday, I'd love to share three of my favorite Point Reyes cheeses paired with three exceptional craft chocolates as we discover how flavor, aroma, texture, and terroir come together in surprising ways.

Long before Chocology, our home had a name: The Gathering Place. This week, I realized that perhaps the Gathering Place simply moved—and these days, there's a lot more chocolate on the table.

As Chocology in Bloom comes to a close, I’ve been thinking about all the discoveries we’ve made this summer—and a few of my favorites weren’t planned at all.
