Chocology is more than a chocolate shop. It’s a place to taste, learn, discover—and find remarkable chocolate from around the world.
Founded by chocolate educator and curator Linda Johnson, Chocology brings together fine chocolate, guided tasting and storytelling to help you experience chocolate in an entirely different way.
Our carefully curated collection includes single-origin and craft chocolate from around the world, handcrafted bonbons, our house-made Fat Ass Fudge, and limited seasonal discoveries. Whether you’re searching for a special gift, curious about chocolate, or simply looking for something delicious, we’ll help you find a chocolate that’s right for you.
One of the things we love most is introducing people to chocolate they might never have chosen on their own.
When you visit Chocology, we'll help you slow down and really taste using The Art of the Chocolate Tasting Ritual:
Look • Smell • Taste • Notice
Where was the cacao grown? What aromas do you notice? How does the flavor change as the chocolate melts? Why can two chocolates with the same cacao percentage taste completely different?
There are no right or wrong answers. Only curiosity.
You can also explore pairing ideas, compare origins and makers, sample our house-made fudge, or simply tell us what flavors you love and let us help you find your next chocolate discovery.
Chocolate becomes even more interesting when you understand the story behind it.
Through guided tastings and storytelling, Linda introduces audiences to where chocolate comes from and explores how origin, terroir, aroma, ingredients, percentage, processing and pairings influence what we taste.
Chocology offers chocolate education and tasting experiences for libraries, private groups, corporate teams, community organizations and special celebrations—at Chocology and throughout Long Island and beyond.
Experiences can be customized for your group, from an introduction to fine chocolate to sensory tastings, chocolate and wine pairings, and more in-depth explorations of origin and flavor.
