Discover the Art of Chocolate and Cheese Pairings

Events, Oh my!

Last month, my schedule was packed with events, including three chocolate and cheese pairings, all of which received fantastic feedback. It's become a tradition for us to showcase our favorite pairings on the Pairing Wall in our shop after each event. This month, I'm thrilled to share some of these standout combinations with all of you.

Pairing chocolate and cheese might seem unconventional at first, but when done right, it can create magical flavor combinations.
I'll start by saying, as I do with every pairing, "Everyone has a different palate, and I encourage you to explore, play with your food, or experiment to find YOUR perfect pairing.”

Tasting Ritual

Then, I introduced a standout: Chocolate-Covered Parmesan. It's a simple yet striking combination—dip small pieces of Parmesan cheese in melted dark chocolate and let them cool until the chocolate hardens. The marriage of salty Parmesan and rich chocolate offers a unique flavor experience.

This month's 

Pairing Favorites

White Chocolate Salted Nuts paired with Parmigiano Reggiano—salty and savory perfection. This pairing was inspired by my visit to meet Venchi Chocolate Master, Giovanni Battista Mantelli (GB), and it's truly magical. We recently paired it with a Sparkling Brut, and the result was phenomenal!

 

 

Another standout is Milk Bacio DiDama and Robiolo. The smooth and sweet milk chocolate with the crunchy biscuit bottom compliments the spreadable and bloomy Robiolo cheese beautifully. Baci Di Dama, meaning "Lady’s kisses," adds an extra layer of delight with its hazelnut biscuit and chocolate sandwich.
Finally, Dark chocolate and Point Reyes Blue Cheese offer a rich and delicious flavor combination. The strong bitterness of dark chocolate pairs wonderfully with the salty taste of blue cheese, creating a symphony for the taste buds.
Whether you prefer the sweet and creamy notes of milk chocolate with Brie or the intense bitterness of dark chocolate with blue cheese, there's a pairing to suit every taste preference.

Success isn’t always loud; it’s the quiet courage to show up and lift others, one small act at a time.
