Ten years of sweet connections—thank you for being part of our story.
Last week I spoke with my first corporate client from ten years ago about their upcoming holiday gifts. Moments later, an order arrived from one of our very first fudge customers. It hit me: wow—it's been more than 10 years.

A Decade of People, Not Just Chocolate
The greatest joy of this work has been watching lives unfold—children becoming teens, clients moving to new states, weddings, new babies—whole family stories told through chocolate and conversation. I still smile thinking about the day I delivered a box of chocolates to a maternity room—back when that was still allowed. Moments like these made Chocology feel less like a business and more like a bridge between people.

Why am I Writing This Now?
For the upcoming Women’s Expo at Middle Country Public Library, I was asked about my biggest professional accomplishment. I struggled to pick just one. My work has never been just business; Chocology is an extension of who I am. It blends my love of people, education, and chocolate into something that feels more like a calling than a career.

At Chocology, we’re built on three core values—what we call RED:
R — Relationships: We know our clients, makers and vendors by name and story.
E — Education: We teach the Art of Tasting Chocolate Mindfully, inviting people to slow down and savor.
D — Distinction: We curate with care and show up with excellence—every event, every class, every bite.
A Proud Turning Point
Two moments do stand out. The first was opening our brick-and-mortar shop in Stony Brook after five years online—late October 2019.

Five months later, the world changed. We didn’t close. We adapted. I launched one of Long Island’s first online farmers markets, partnering with 40+ farmers and artisans to deliver fresh food to local families—especially those unable to leave home. We kept the lights on and paid the rent, yes—but more important, we delivered comfort and care and helped others stay afloat. That moment in time remains one of my proudest professional accomplishments.

Quiet Courage, Lasting Impact
Success isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s the quiet courage to show up, lift others, and create something meaningful—one small act at a time. That’s what the last ten years have taught me, and it’s the spirit I’m carrying into the next chapter.
Here’s to the families who’ve grown with us, the partners who’ve trusted us, and the communities that continue to welcome us into their celebrations. Thank you for letting Chocology be part of your story.
With gratitude,
Linda
P.S. Writing this made me cry happy tears.
